Generally, reports of studies were more focused on Listeria monocytogenes among other Listeria species. Fewer articles provided information on Listeria recovered from animals (ruminants) and soil samples. In this regard, information obtained from literatures from various online databases revealed that Listeria species are commonly recovered from food, water, and human samples. This paper reviews the emerging trends in the spread, distribution, and epidemiology of Listeria species in foods, water, human, animals, and different environments in Southern Africa based on the appraisal of scholarly articles. Listeriosis is rarely reported in the Southern African Hemispheres in spite of the increasing rate of Listeria in several foodborne outbreaks reported in advanced countries.
This will ensure the effective use of this Industry 4.0 technology as a learning tool and enabler of cross-collaboration with the maritime industry.
Finally, the findings of the review provide an outlook for further research and experimental opportunities aligned with the development of the learning factory concept (Idealab) at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Ålesund in Norway. This paper reviews peer-reviewed empirical studies on AR in relation to the shipbuilding industry and examines the state of current research on the topic, presenting various concrete AR applications in maritime engineering, production, design, operation, and maintenance. At present, learning factories aim to implement this technology into diverse industrial cases and applications.
Augmented reality (AR) systems blend the real world environment with virtual information and provide an expanded and information-rich view of the user surroundings, generating a greater understanding of-and interaction with-datasets, manufacturing processes, and abstract concepts.
